Jose Miguel Jimenez Gonzalez

BIOGRAPHIE

I'm a graduate of the university of Chile and Trinity College, both art degrees specialised in theatre studies. I have developed work as an actor, director, video designer and DOP at different stages of my career in Ireland since 2004. Since 2017, my practice has mainly focused on my film practice. Since then, I have collaborated on experimental films with film artist Aine Stapleton, developed a series of dance films and video design for dance artists like Liz Roche and Emma Martin, and collaborated as DOP with Invisible Thread Films. In my own work, the documentary SEE THE MAN, which was official selection in festivals in 3 continents and won awards for cinematography and best new doc. I recently completed NIDO, a film shot in the Amazon and mentored by Apichatpong Weeraseethakul, which was picked by PlayLab Films Spain for support in entering the festival circuit in 2023.
