BIOGRAPHIE

Angela Lorena Statnik is a Colombian script supervisor with twelve years of experience in the industry. Award-winner screenwriter, and emerging director based in Los Angeles, from where she graduated and was nominated as best director for the LACC Cinema & TV Awards. She focuses on fantasy cross genre exploring a blend between fantasy and other genres such mystery, drama, thriller, and horror. She currently works in the post-production of her short film CANDY PUPPET, she develops UNDERGROUND, a mystery series about Bogotá, and produces SPEEDWAY, her most recent short awarded Best Short Screenplay in the California Women Film Festival. Parallelly, she works as co-writer/co-director of METANOIA, the first Latin American series funded by NFT. She develops her first feature film, THE VEHICULE OF A DREAM, which was awarded a grant in 2010 at the Iberoamerican Film Crossing Borders, in La Habana Cuba, and the Film Business School in the Rio Film fest. Selected in 2015 to participate in BAMMERS at the Bogota Audiovisual Market. And one of the finalists in the feature screenplay writing program by FDC in 2016. Angela’s film career has been sponsored by the Young Artist Talent grant 2016 by ICETEX, Proimágenes Colombia, Ibermedia, and HFPA Fellowship.
