Amirparsa Khanbani

BIOGRAPHIE

Amir Parsa Khanbani, born in the summer of 1378, is an Iranian filmmaker, editor, and photographer. In the year 1401, he graduated with a degree in Cinema from Sepah University in Isfahan. Amir’s journey in the world of art commenced with photography. Enchanted by the solitude of nature, he embarked on a photographic odyssey. He initiated his craft with analog photography, meticulously selecting framing and lighting for each shot with a limited number of analog camera films. This served as the foundation for honing his unique perspective on subjects that required contemplation, providing a canvas for understanding individuals, emotions, and the stories unfolding around us every moment in the world. A thirst for encountering more stories led him to delve into literary works. Exploring the realms of literature ignited his imagination about emotions and situations he had encountered less frequently in his own life. It was during this time that capturing imaginations and emotions through film captivated him. His goal is to create a visual representation of a world where individuals are compelled to make decisions, forced to take action to create something that can be defined as salvation—a salvation that neither promises happiness nor pleasant endings. Amir’s true mentors were not conventional teachers, but rather authors such as Salinger, Camilo José Cela, Hemingway, Joyce, and Kafka, whose literary works profoundly influenced his artistic journey.
