[EN] Becky Miková is a Slovak filmmaker, but has lived in Scotland for 10 years now. She has graduated from Napier University, where she fell in love with documentaries, and also fun and experimental ways of telling a story. After few student films, ‘The House of Culture’ is her first film finished after leaving the university, and reflects on not only cultural and political happenings in her home country, but also on their impact on her closest family. She hopes to continue using similar narrative style on future shorts that she is working on, but moving onto topics little further from her closest family members, but still close to her heart.
