[EN] Tej Sisodia is a screenwriter and an independent filmmaker based in Mumbai. Born and brought up in a small village in North India, Tej moved to Delhi and began working in the theatre. Working in theatre and reading scripts inspired him to write stories about his experiences and observations about rural and urban India. A self taught screenplay writer, he wrote, directed and produced his first short film RAAKH - ASHES, which got selected and received an overwhelming response at many international film festivals. He has written a Short film - MUNNA KA BACHPAN which has been Directed By Yudhishtir Urs. The film is streaming on on Jio cinema. Recently he has written and Directed a short film -AVNI, Avni is a story of a little girl who fights for her right to education and equality. The sensitivity of human emotions is the driving force for him and as a writer, it's his endeavour to bring stories of such simple and real people to screen. In the past few years, he has also written few feature films and web series pitches which are currently being pitched to various production houses.
