[EN] Efe Vardarli is an up-and-coming independent Turkish-Australian filmmaker based in Melbourne. He is interested in a language that conveys emotion through editing rhythm and the visual relationship between the characters and their surroundings. Also being an editor, he constructs his films start to finish before ever beginning the script. For him, the ‘montage’ of Eisenstein is the perfect tool to depict humans’ relationship to their memories and desires and explore the emotions we keep in the locked cabinets of our souls.
