BIOGRAPHIE

[EN] Valentina Eguiguren Armbruster is a Ecuadorian-German filmmaker with a passion for storytelling. Valentina began her career in Ecuador, founding VEA PRODU in 2018, creating ads and producing independent films. After studying Italian Cinema in Verona, she moved to New York City to attend NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and TV Production. At NYU, Valentina focused on Writing and Directing, while also gaining experience as a Producer, Cinematographer, and Editor. She worked as a Camera Operator and Field Producer at the 2023 FISU World University Games, and her work has been featured in the NYU Chair Newsletter, La República EC, and The Alumni Sponsorship. Her career includes working in Ecuador’s Official Selection for the 2024 Oscars, internships at BeReal and Sayso, volunteering with the Producers Guild of America (PGA), and commercial projects for brands like Cubby NYC. She has written-directed over five short films, including her latest Beatriz, shot in her hometown in Ecuador. With a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology, Valentina has secured partnerships with brands such as Boxed Water, Nature’s Heart, Drink Chiki, 787 Coffee, etc. Her work explores themes of self-discovery and social issues, drawing inspiration from surrealism and her Ecuadorian roots. She is technically skilled in DaVinci Resolve, Avid, Premiere Pro, Adobe, and Microsoft Office. Currently, Valentina is in development for her first feature film, in distribution for Beatriz, and post-production for Asfódelos. She is starting a new post-production house, continuing to blend her creativity with her business savvy.
