[EN] Matteo Cirillo is an actor, writer, and director from Rome. He graduated from AIAD after winning a scholarship and furthered his training in France. In film, he has worked with directors such as Gianni Zanasi, Edoardo Leo, Giuseppe Battiston, Miriam Leone, and Federico Moccia. On television, he has appeared in Raiuno’s Don Matteo 13, Carlo Verdone's series Vita da Carlo, and SKY's series Ritoccati 2-3-4. In theater, he has worked with prominent figures like Giorgio Albertazzi, Monica Guerritore, Giulio Scarpati, Lello Arena, Carlo Boso, and Mark Bell. He tours Italy with his self-written and performed monologues, Aspettando una Chiamata and Oggi Sposo. He also created the format Pensieri a Voce Alta ("Thoughts Out Loud"), collaborating with various Italian news outlets. For years, he has partnered with "La Città Ideale," bringing shows and special projects to unconventional spaces such as Rome’s Metro C, the streets of the city’s outskirts, and the public housing complexes (Ater). One of his shows, Ce l'ho, ce l'ho mi manca, which he wrote and performed, was staged in an abandoned newsstand in Piazza Testaccio, Rome, where the newsstand transformed into a stage for one evening. His short film Internet Sparito, which he wrote, directed, and performed in, was selected by major international festivals and won numerous awards. In 2021, he won the Ministry's grant for "screenplay development" with his feature film Pinocchio Reborn. His works have earned him numerous national awards and recognition.
