BIOGRAPHIE

Bec Pecaut is a nonbinary filmmaker living between Los Angeles and Toronto, Ontario. Their short film Are You Scared to Be Yourself Because You Think That You Might Fail? had its world premiere at TIFF (2024) where it won the Short Cuts Award for Best Canadian Film and was subsequently selected for Canada’s Top Ten (2024). Subsequently, this short will premiere internationally in-competition at Sundance (2025), and at Clermont-Ferrand (2025). Bec's work focuses on coming of age through queerness.
