BIOGRAPHIE

[EN] Born and raised in a drama family in Jinhua, an ancient city in the south region of China’s Yangtze River, Guojü WANG studied music and modern philosophy before he learned filmmaking since 2021. He focuses on Chinese society, and is searching for new Chinese cinematic aesthetics combining history and Buddhism thoughts. In 2022, he screened his documentary Letter From Ruin in Shanghai Youth Film Festival. His screenplay A Winter Mirage was selected by 14th Beijing International Film Festival ReelFocus Workshop in 2024.
