BIOGRAPHIE

[EN] Miles Gunter is a Texas bred, Chicago-based writer and director whose work blends pulp mythology, psychological tension, and offbeat humor. Before moving into filmmaking, he built a career in comics, with writing credits that include BPRD, Weird War Tales, Terminator, NYC Mech, Grammaton Punch, the forthcoming KNIFE and Bastard Samurai—the latter inspired a track by rock band High on Fire on their Grammy award winning album, Snakes for the Divine. A graduate of the New School for Social Research in Manhattan, Miles brings a graphic sensibility and character-driven storytelling to his filmmaking. His debut short film, eGGs (2023), starring Cassie Kramer, is a stylized character study that marks the next chapter in his cross-medium creative career. Hot Water is his second collaboration with Cassie.
