[EN] Niloufar Abdollahi is an Iranian-American filmmaker with a strong background in both creative and executive aspects of cinema. She studied filmmaking in the United States, where she built her foundation in cinematic arts and storytelling. Abdollahi has directed several short films, including Blue Tangerines, her previous short, which was showcased on the festival circuit. Beyond her directorial projects, she has been an active member of the executive team at the Tehran International Short Film Festival, gaining first-hand experience in curating and organizing one of the region’s most respected short film events. She also served as the General Manager at Golden Capra, a production company based in the United Arab Emirates specializing in short films and animation, where she combined her managerial skills with her passion for innovative visual storytelling. With Like Leaving, Abdollahi continues to explore themes of identity, migration, and human connection, presenting her unique cinematic voice to international audiences.
