SYNOPSIS

[EN] Decades after Raoul Wallenberg disappeared into the Soviet prison system, SAMOVAR is a poetic imagining of his survival, the tenderness of love, the emptiness of heroism and the quiet defiance of a brutal world. Wallenberg was a Swedish diplomat, who was captured and imprisoned after saving the lives of many thousands of Jews in Budapest at the end of the Second World War.
