SYNOPSIS

[EN] “Mish Mankoosha” explores the role hair plays in society, in our self-image and, more importantly, in our relationship to our mothers especially in this part of the world. Looking at the development of the natural hair movement in Egypt and the Arab world, we get an intimate look into how this is perceived from different generations as the director talks to her mother about their personal journey
