SYNOPSIS

[EN] 2022, in Shanghai, an indescribable fear gripped the city. A young journalist vanished, along with her unfinished documentary about a latest forbidden gap in China's official storytelling. Today, it is as if nothing ever happened. Survivors gather in a forgotten woodland where interconnected tree roots, with severed rings, narrating those silent histories of recurring sufferings. They stand together, shoulder to shoulder, in the darkness.
