SYNOPSIS

[EN] This is a story about the life of a monastery and the traces left on it. The monastery, built with the rock of the site, was first a cloistered convent dedicated to sacrifice and penance, then to military discipline until it fell into oblivion and was finally rescued by a handful of artists. The passage of time and the actions suffered on the site have left a deep mark on the building and its surroundings. The wounds of the past invite us to reflect on the wounds of time in this experimental piece of architectural cinema. Geological time, the time of architecture, the time of plants and the time of men. It is a cinematographic intervention on the architectural heritage that acts directly on the film with actions of building or destroying, depending on how you look at it. The erosion produced by the passage of time, the clearing of plants that have become feral due to abandonment or the drilling of the quarry that gave rise to the monastery are actions that have their analogical correspondence in cinematic terms. It could be said that it is the story of a birth, a birth or an extraction and its wounds.
