SYNOPSIS

[EN] “If my body is biologically prepared to lose my virginity, why are there laws against it?”. How will Mike, the sex worker who Ema arranges a meeting with, respond to this? Upon arriving, he realizes that the young girl had lied about her age online. He finds himself in a moral compass, where a night’s pay is at stake, and she is faced with yet another rejection. By choosing to stay and listen instead of running away, Mike encourages Ema to embark with him on an emotionally intimate journey, seeking to find a common link between the psycho-sexual development of two very different generations and backgrounds. As the film progresses, we learn about an early sexual experience that highly influenced Ema’s later perception of self, in a world and time that send nothing but mixed signals.
