SYNOPSIS

[EN] Joan Malet, a mysterious stranger who makes his living as a “saludador” (a kind of quack), arrives in a village in 16th century rural Catalonia on a mission to cure the mayor’s son. While waiting to be picked up at the village tavern, Malet meets Gascona, a healer and brothel woman. Their meeting will mark them forever and put Malet on alert: the village is under a terrible curse. Only a witchfinder can save it. Will Malet be up to the task?
