SYNOPSIS

[EN] Set in a rural Portugal, 'The Hateful' unfolds the harrowing tale of Franco and Agostinho, two brothers tormented by a past drenched in violence, who murder people and collect their shoes. Nearly three decades after they fled from the man responsible for their mother's death — their own father - the brothers, driven by a desire for revenge, set out to confront him once and for all. But, as they stand face to face with the man they loathe, an unexpected twist shatters their plans. Their father, now a frail shadow of his former self, teeters on the edge of death, tenderly cared for by his new daughter, Rosa, a sweet and innocent 9-year-old girl. The brothers' quest for revenge is thrown into turmoil as they grapple with this unforeseen and heart-wrenching reality.
