SYNOPSIS

[EN] My work straddles the border between strength and tenderness. Often exploring the ways in which we are able to translate human experience into movement. ‘LIMPET' explores a relationship. Specifically addressing the complexities of navigating dependent relationships. The film ranges from very pedestrian movement to more physicalised choreography. The aim is not to push any particular narrative onto the viewer but instead, let a series of actions describe a feeling. Non linear and visually claustrophobic, the film is deliberately disorienting. Sometimes tender, other times turbulent, there is a continual sense of negotiation throughout. Angel Perez’s sound design is rich with texture, continually expanding and contracting together with the movement. This project was commissioned and produced by BalletBoyz.
