SYNOPSIS

[EN] A Pre-Raphaelite painting and a Roman statue are isolated together in one room of a grand old house. Both aware of each other’s existence yet tantalisingly unable to see the other. As time passes beneath their fixed gaze, the world around them evolves from the spoils of 19th Century empire, via the highways and byways of Bright Young Thing parties and midnight Nazi bombing raids, to a present day museum returning its plundered loot. Centuries come and go yet they remain unmoving, un-breathing, all-seeing and yet unseen, until a chance happening allows their eyes finally to meet for one (truly, as it turns out) magical moment.
