[EN] A grumpy old man, Scott, and a young girl, Lelia, who is abused by her mother, connect through music despite the language barrier. One day, Scott finds a letter Lelia dropped and delivers it to her mother, Suzy. Moved by the letter, Suzy confesses, "I can't stop the abuse because my husband will get angry, and I can’t leave him since I have no money." After much deliberation, Scott sells his instruments and records, leaving a bundle of cash in Lelia’s mailbox before leaving the apartment. Later, now homeless, Scott is visited by Lelia, who hands him a letter. It turns out to be from Scott’s late wife, Sophia, who was an acquaintance of Suzy. In fact, Sophia had orchestrated the events, including Scott moving next to Lelia, to save both the abused Lelia and the lonely Scott. Lelia says, “More than money, I want to play piano with you again,” and they reaffirm their friendship.
