SYNOPSIS

[EN] Lucy loves her freedom, her Beijing lifestyle, and her job as a tour guide. She only has one problem: her mum moved in with her. When she meets Stuart, a charming American in his 60s, she plots to introduce him to her mother, Julie. Maybe she should have been careful what she wished for. While many older Beijiners are enjoying a “second spring” as they say, younger people tend to leave love and romance out of the adulting cookbook. But when Lucy witnesses her widowed mother turning into an in-love teenager, she is unclear about what she really wants: Freedom? Keeping her mother in a well-defined, predictable box? Not mentioning what to do with her own spring.
