SYNOPSIS

[EN] On the miserable day after her 33rd birthday, Zola - an unsuccessful painter - thinks her life is finally taking a turn for the better when she books her first solo exhibition. But her friends, distracted by wedding announcements, baby showers and ‘super casual’ engagement parties, barely take note of her invitation. No RSVPs, no congratulations. This rejection pushes Zola into a dark downward spiral, finally leading her to send an invitation she is sure no one will refuse. The Invitation explores the fear of not being seen and that feeling of falling behind in life. The funny and the painful parts.
