SYNOPSIS

[EN] In the nuclear wasteland, Jay — once a university philosophy professor — stands alone as the guardian of civilization’s last ember: books. He believes knowledge is the cornerstone of rebuilding the world, a beacon of hope for humanity.
Yet in this desolation, shadows of a cult stir. They claim knowledge is the root of mankind’s destruction, and only by burning every page can humanity stop abusing technology and prevent self-annihilation. Jay is determined to carry these books to a so-called destination, to preserve them. But this obsession brings him pain, for in endless ascetic wandering, fleeing, and exile, he finds no safe haven, no true end — his real destination remains unknown. Until, captured and tortured by the cult, Jay reaches a profound revelation: his journey’s destination… is no destination at all. The end is the beginning. VOIDLAND draws on the Buddhist concept of “emptiness,” using an apocalyptic meditation to explore the deep contradictions between knowledge and ignorance, attachment and liberation.
