SYNOPSIS

[EN] A traditional Danish family has been living in the South of France for years due to the work duties of the father, Soren. A local nanny, Laura, has worked with them since the birth of their daughter, Grace, who she dearly loves. The lady of the family, Helga, has developed a certain bond with the nanny, to a point that, when Soren was called to integrate the highly specialized hospital of Copenhagen, she insisted on inviting her to settle in their hometown, which she first joyfully accepted. Even if they are close, there’s modesty, humbleness and distance between the two, the connection being on a sentimental level. On the day of their move, Helga comes to Laura’s place earlier than her husband to give her a special gift. Helga is walking at a steady pace; she can’t contain her excitement. Still, Laura is still hanging and folding her laundry in front of her garage. She notices that nothing is packed, and she slightly loses her enthusiasm.
