SYNOPSIS

[EN] Aurora, a 23-year-old girl, lives in a religious cult in Medellin, where she has been for some time. She is here because she follows her mother and not because of her own conviction; since her mother is the one who is attracted by the words of Bernabé, the leader. Aurora begins to see strange behaviors in her mother, she is realizing that she not only believes in Bernabé, but is in love with him; thanks to this, the young woman begins to desperately seek the attention and maternal love that is no longer being given to her, to the point that she decides that the only way to recover what she believes was taken from her is by becoming the leader, and believing that she is the next chosen one according to Bernabé's prophecies. Therefore, she begins to question the faith of the other members towards Bernabé; but the leader notices this and asks to speak to her in private. There Bernabé questions her actions in front of the rest of the group and towards her own mother; Aurora tries to impose herself on Bernabé with her words and in an impulsive outburst begins to seriously injure him with her own hands. At night, the members of the community anxiously awaited the usual rite to begin, but in the quiet of the night they see a badly wounded and bloodied Bernabé arrive. Aurora begins to announce that she is the chosen one that the leader spoke of in his prophecies; we begin to see how the idol of the community begins to burn in flames. Bernabé tries to fight to free himself but Aurora, reciting her own words, stabs him causing his death. Aurora approaches the group, who receive her as the new savior, however, her mother runs away terrified from her. Aurora tries to chase her but the group does not allow it and remains there looking at the monster that has become and how everything slowly catches fire.
