[EN] After years of being sidelined in a ballet company because of her skin color, a young Black dancer finally takes the lead role when the company’s star is injured. Her performance impresses everyone, but the classical piece that was to be staged is replaced by a choreography inspired by “wild” dances, echoing the stereotypes that shaped the careers of figures like Josephine Baker. As success arrives, she realizes her body is being used as a showcase and must decide whether to keep performing the role crafted for her or break free to dance her own truth.
