[EN] Francisko reunites with his daughter Joy on a cold winter day in Copenhagen to tell her something important. Now seriously ill, he wishes to return to his home country in the Philippines for his final rest. Over the course of one day, they navigate past wounds and cultural displacement. Through shared spaces – a park, a karaoke bar, and old DV archive footage the film explores how memory and time shape the ties that bind us. WHERE EVER YOU ARE is a poetic and intimate film about the complex emotions of living a life far away from your home, and how it affects life choices and family relations through generations. But even more, it's a film about longing. Blending fiction and documentary, the film features the director's real father in the lead role as Francisko and Donna Ramas Lekovski in the lead as Joy, recently known for her appearance in the acclaimed Netflix series THE SECRETS WE KEEP.
