SYNOPSIS

[EN] Paula’s hands wander over paper mouths and eyes scattered across the floor – cut-outs from fashion magazines she has collected over the years. As she sticks a pair of made-up eyes onto her own face, she transforms into a living collage for an instant. We gaze into an enigmatic face — half image, half reality. As trains rush past below, Paula’s small apartment becomes a stage for a playful reflection on her own image, internalized gazes and the power of transformation. Shifting between observational and performative moments, The Heart is a Fancy Place sensitively explores the desire to create a living image of oneself.
