SYNOPSIS

[EN] At thirty, Gao Sheng remains as shiftless as ever. Once a celebrated martial arts performer in a Peking Opera troupe, he was fired after a conflict with his supervisor. Jobless and repeatedly rejected in his search for work, Gao Sheng stumbled upon a street performer dressed as an "internet-famous frog" and found inspiration. Donning his stage costume, he began impersonating the Monkey King to busk on the streets. His booming business, however, cut into the earnings of Xiao Yue, who performed as the "internet-famous frog" at the same spot. In a fit of anger, Xiao Yue tried to sabotage Gao Sheng's act but ended up injuring herself. Instead of holding a grudge, Gao Sheng took care of her, and the two resolved their differences, becoming partners and gradually developing feelings for each other. Just as happiness seemed within reach, Gao Sheng encountered a child trafficker attempting to snatch a child. Facing the criminal's blade, he charged forward like the Great Sage Equal of Heaven.
