Alexandros Rellos

BIOGRAPHIE

Alexandros Rellos graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Film Department, A.U.Th in July 2020 with a commendation of excellency. His thesis, a feature length screenplay titled “Fouskias ‘n’ friends” has been applied to Greek Film Centre for financing. Through the last six years, he has written and directed, except from some web commercials, six short films which have participated in National and International Festivals (Drama International Short Film Festival, Los Angeles Awards etc.). In 2018, he wrote, directed and produced the documentary TV Series, “Ti Fasi?”, that was broadcasted by Hellenic Parliament TV for the season 2018-2019 and two episodes were also shown at the 21st Thessaloniki Documentary Festival. His short film script, “TolisLive or (Toronto)” was awarded by Hellenic Film Academy at the Short Film Fund programme and was co-produced by COSMOTE TV (Cable TV Network). As a director, he was chosen in Sarajevo Talents 2020. Moreover, he was a compensatory grant holder of Aristotle University during February-November 2017 and from January until June of 2018 he was an intern in Primary Education, teaching the Basics of Cinema. His previous studies include Acting and Theory of Theatre at National Theatre of Northern Greece (July-September 2015), a fact that lead him to participate as an actor in many short films and the 90th Anniversary TV Spot of A.U.Th. In conclusion, he has participated in the 1st International Film Conference on Greek Cinema: The Unknown Greek Cinema and has worked as a film critic for the official blog of 57th Thessaloniki International Film Festival and as a writer for Exostis-Free Press.
