Agustina Comedi

BIOGRAPHIE

Agustina Comedi (1986, Argentina) holds a Literature degree. In 2017 her debut film “Silence is a Falling Body” premiered in IDFA. The movie was multi-awarded and has since made a journey through over sixty international festivals. In 2019 she wrote and directed “Playback”, awarded as Best National Shortfilm at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, also selected in the Berlinale Short Films Competition, where it won the Teddy Award (2020). The short film was exhibited in over 130 international festivals including Jeonju IFF, Hot Docs, Melbourne, IFF, New Films/ New Directors and Vancouver IFF, among others. Both her first film and second short film were curated by Nan Goldin in a special program for Metrograph NY and exhibited in the Reina Sofia Museum as well as Tabakalera San Sebastian. Agustina investigates the ties between archive, memory and fabulation. She is currently working on her second and third films.
